AVICEL SMCC HD 90

AVICEL® SMCC HD90 is silicified microcrystalline cellulose, a co-process excipient comprising microcrystalline cellulose and fumed silicon dioxide. AVICEL® SMCC HD90 is used as a tablet excipient in pharmaceutical and dietary supplement formulations. The integration of microcrystalline cellulose and fumed silicon dioxide at the particle level enhances AVICEL® SMCC HD90 functional performance such as improved flow and processing compared to a blend of the individual components. With its median particle size and increased bulk density, AVICEL® SMCC HD90 helps improve formulation powder flow for better blending and consistent tablet and capsule weight. The enhanced compactibility and hydration character of AVICEL® SMCC HD90 aids in the manufacture of tablets with robust mechanical strength and disintegration properties.
