SODIUM SILICATE 37/40 PE

"Sodium Silicate is an inorganic chemical compound with the general formula Na2O⋅nSiO2. It is typically supplied as an aqueous solution. The ""37/40"" designation refers to its modulus, which is the weight ratio of silica (SiO2) to sodium oxide (Na2O). This specific ratio influences its properties such as viscosity, alkalinity, and reactivity. Sodium silicate solutions are alkaline. Used in a variety of applications such as: Adhesive and Binding Properties: Used as a binder in various applications, including foundry molds, abrasives, and as a component in glues and adhesives. Detergency: Employed in detergents and cleaning agents due to its ability to emulsify oils and suspend dirt. Corrosion Inhibition: Acts as a corrosion inhibitor in water treatment and industrial processes. Flocculant and Coagulant: Used in water and wastewater treatment for clarification. Other Applications: Found in refractories, cements, textiles, and as a deflocculant in ceramic slurries."
